Valley Bronze of Oregon has been in continuous production at its foundry facility in Joseph, Oregon since 1982. Starting as a small bronze art casting facility serving local artists with less than a dozen employees, Valley Bronze soon expanded as it began to take on larger, more demanding and complex sculptural projects. A monument facility was added in 1987, with the extra space, ceiling height, and equipment to accommodate sculptures weighing thousands of pounds.
Working for a growing list of sculptors from across the country, Valley Bronze soon built an excellent reputation for producing art castings of the highest quality.
After building three sets of massive, bas-relief bronze doors for the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes in Spokane, Washington, we broadened our range of work to include custom bronze doors and ornamental metal fabrication. In addition to bronze, we routinely cast stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel, and silver.
In 2002, as a joint venture with Stewart Springs, LTD, a local computer design firm, Valley Bronze was awarded a subcontract on the National World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. In a production period spanning just over 12 months, our company produced 114 large decorative bronze wreaths, 114 geometric bronze armatures, 58 sections of massive bronze rope, 5,000 gold-plated, cast stainless steel stars, 750 decorative bronze drainage grates, 23 large bronze mounting panels for the Wall of Stars, two 14-foot-high entryway flag bases, two 6-foot diameter Victory medallions, and additional related pieces. All work was installed on time by our production staff, in most instances well ahead of schedule. Throughout the project we kept up with our regular flow of sculptural production, and completed another major monument project; six larger-than-life bronze bulls by Maryland artist Walter Matia, for Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas--home of the NFL Houston Texans.
We are proud of our company's accomplishments, and look forward to meeting new challenges.
