Valley Bronze specializes in all aspects of fine art and ornmental metal production.
When an artist brings a sculpture in for a casting bid, our technicians and skilled artisans closely examine the original to devise proper mold procedures. We then discuss with the artist their final finish and patina preferences, as well as their anticipated scheduling needs.
Following these initial steps, a written bid for the mold and a unit price for each casting to be ordered is given to the artist. Under our standard terms and conditions the mold fee needs to be paid in full in advance, in addition to a 50% deposit on any castings ordered. Completion and delivery times are negotiable, but usually average 6 - 8 weeks on initial orders.
Artists sometimes choose to visit the foundry during the casting process in order to make final inspections of waxes or metal work, to work out the final patina for the piece. Valley Bronze works hard to accommodate the special needs of each artist.
